Pending payments

If you've sent money to yourself or someone else, the transfer can show as pending while we run checks to help make sure your account is safe.

This means it might take a little longer for the money to reach its destination, sometimes up to two hours. We'll let you know if there are any issues with your payment.

If we're holding a payment because we need more information from you, we'll let you know and ask you to get in touch. More about held payments.

How long does it take to send or receive money?

Most transfers should take no more than a few minutes to go through, although they can sometimes take up to two hours.

If you're expecting money to arrive in your account and it's been over two hours, please contact the bank or the person/company who sent it as it may be a problem at their end.

How much money can I send with Chase?

You can send up to £25,000 a day from your Chase accounts to other UK bank accounts. You can find more details in the Spending limits section of the Chase app (under Profile).
