Letting someone else speak to us on your behalf
If you’re unwell, need extra support or find it difficult to use the app, you may be able to let someone else speak to us on the phone.
How can I give a third party permission to speak to Chase?
To let someone else speak to us during a phone call, we’ll first need to authenticate you as the account holder (either in the Chase app or in the call). We’ll then ask you to verbally confirm you’re happy for this third party to speak on your behalf. After that, you can hand the phone over to them.
Please note, this confirmation will need to be done on every call.
What can the third party do for me over the phone?
Once you’ve verbally confirmed you’re happy for your third party to speak to us, they may be able to:
- Ask for information about your accounts – account details, interest rate, balance, transaction details
- Request a statement
- Raise a complaint or dispute
In some cases, we may need to speak to you directly to complete a request.
If you’d like a third party to make payments on your behalf, update any personal details, or open a new product, you’ll have to appoint a Power of Attorney or implement a Court of Protection Order. If you need help, we can talk you through how to complete these actions.
