Repaying your credit card balance
How do I repay?
You can easily make repayments to your credit card from your Chase accounts – either with a one-off repayment or by setting up a monthly regular repayment.
To make a one-off repayment from a Chase account:
- Open your credit card account
- Tap 'Repay'
- Under 'One-off', tap 'From a Chase account'
- Follow the on-screen steps.
To make a one-off repayment from another bank:
- Open your credit card account
- Tap 'Repay'
- Under 'One-off', tap 'From another bank'
- Use the on-screen details, including a unique 16-digit reference number, to make a credit card repayment from another bank
You can make a one-off repayment at any time – even if you have a regular repayment set up.
To set up a regular repayment:
- Open your credit card account
- Tap 'Repay'
- Tap 'From a Chase account' under 'Monthly'
If you set up a regular repayment, you can choose to repay your full statement balance, the minimum payment or a fixed amount. If you only repay the minimum amount every month, it will take you longer to clear your balance and cost you more. Your repayment will come out of your chosen Chase account on the 27th of every month. You can edit or cancel it at any time, but you should do so on or before 26th to change your payment on 27th in time.
To edit or cancel your regular repayment:
- Open your credit card account
- Tap 'Repay'
- Tap 'Manage' next to your regular repayment
What happens if I'm late or miss a payment?
If you miss your minimum payment by the due date, you'll be charged a £12 late fee. We'll send you a notification to remind you to repay and prevent further charges.
Having late or missed payments on your credit record can also impact your credit score, and may also disqualify you from any promotional purchase rate you might be on. To avoid this happening, you can set up a regular repayment so you don't forget to pay. Making a repayment as quickly as possible can lessen the impact on your credit score.
If you continually miss repayments, we'll report this to credit reference agencies – which may make it harder for you to borrow money in the future.

I have paid more than I should have. What do I do?
