What is the waiting room and why am I in it?

Lots of people are trying to open an account with us at the moment. Because we want to make sure that you can join us as simply and easily as possible we're putting people in a waiting room once they've downloaded the app and signed up. 

We'll text you to let you know when you can come back to the app and finish up. We're processing applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Just so you know, this may take 1 to 3 weeks from the day you joined the waiting room but we'll let you know via the app if that changes.

What about my Refer a Friend reward?

If you signed up for a Chase account before 11:59pm on Tuesday 7 June 2022 and you've been in our waiting room, you'll still be eligible to get a £20 reward if you were referred.

  • If you signed up with your friend's referral link, we'll automatically apply their code to your account
  • If you couldn't use the link for any reason, you'll still have 14 days from when your account's up and running to add your friend's referral code

Either way, you'll still be eligible to get your referral reward, as long as you signed up before 11:59pm on Tuesday 7 June 2022.

When will I be able to get my account?

We're working to get as many people through their applications as possible. We'll text you to let you know when you can come back to the app and finish up – this could take 1 to 3 weeks. But if anything changes, we'll let you know via the app.

Can I call you about this?

Our Support Team are incredibly busy right now. They can't speed up your application or get you through the waiting room any faster. But if you need help with something else, they'll get to you as soon as they can.
